Short version: the website has no cookies or tracking, the app has no account and sends us nothing about what you make, and we only hold your name and email if you buy a licence.
The data controller is Purple Ohm Ltd, trading as Silver Winds, 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected].
This website
No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no third-party fonts. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
When you buy
Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record, takes your payment and collects what it needs for that, such as your card details and country, under Paddle's privacy policy. We never see your card details.
Paddle passes us your name, email address, country and order details. We use them to:
- make your licence key, which contains your name and email, and email it to you;
- send renewal keys and replacement keys when you ask;
- handle refunds and support;
- keep the business records UK tax law requires.
Licence emails are sent through Brevo, our email provider. We don't send marketing email unless you have asked for it, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Our legal basis is the contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep tax records.
We keep purchase records for 6 years after the end of the tax year of the sale, then delete them.
The Golden Kite app
- No account, no telemetry. The app doesn't report usage, crashes or anything you make to us.
- Your projects stay on your computer. Stories, photos and pages are stored locally.
- AI requests go straight to the provider you chose (for example OpenRouter or Wavespeed), with your own key. Those providers handle that data under their own privacy policies. We never see it.
- Your keys are kept in your computer's keychain.
- Update check. The app checks
updates.silverwinds.ukfor new versions. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and app version to the server and its host, which may keep them in request logs. We use them only to deliver updates. - Licence check happens on your computer. Nothing is sent to us.

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
